Our ambassadors

Become a student ambassador for ²έΑρΙηΗψ, a partner of UHI

Are you confident, enthusiastic and passionate about marine science, ²έΑρΙηΗψ and UHI?

Interested in developing your communication and team work skills?

Would you like to earn some extra money?

²έΑρΙηΗψ student ambassadors are the face of our “university on the beach” for prospective students, teachers and parents/carers. They engage with prospective students by sharing their experiences of studying marine science at ²έΑρΙηΗψ at public events such as Open Days, school visits and career fairs and contribute to online content including our . They inspire prospective students to “sea the world differently” and to study marine science at our top international research institution. 

Benefits of being a student ambassador

Not only do student ambassadors play a key role in promoting ²έΑρΙηΗψ and recruiting the best marine science students from around the world, but they also benefit from personal development and CV enhancement opportunities – all whilst earning a bit of extra money! Student ambassadors are paid £12 per hour and usually work up to around 8 hours per month typically from October to June. Skills students can develop on the ambassador scheme include:

Any offers of employment are subject to approval from your Director of Studies/PAT/Year leader. Applicants must have evidence of having rights to work in the UK.

Applicants must be current marine science undergraduate or postgraduate students at ²έΑρΙηΗψ.
